Ever since I did the accent wall in the bathroom I’ve been dying to do more!
The tri-fold medicine cabinet mirror and the hanging upper cabinets NEEDED TO GO! This bathroom is very small and these objects protruding into the room at eye level were making it feel even smaller!
In case you don’t remember, here is where the bathroom started (even before the accent wall).
It was rough. Then the accent wall!
So much better, right!?
It gets better!
The first thing that needed to happen was taking down the cabinets and the mirror!
I know this is kind of a low quality photo, but you can still see how taking that stuff down really makes the space feel bigger!
This was such a fun process! I loved getting to see my vision take form!
At this point it’s time to pick a paint color! I wanted a white that had just a hint of gray, you know, not a white-white but also not a creamy off-white. I had this color in my head that I wasn’t sure actually existed… That’s usually what happens with my projects!
These were the two options I found at Home Depot compared to the accent wall color.
We decided on Etched Glass!
I got a beautiful farmhouse style mirror for Christmas and a gorgeous milk glass vanity light! I was SO excited to finally get these up in the bathroom!
Once we got everything painted I got to hang my gifts and plan for some decor pieces! my favorite part!
Here’s how it turned out!
I AM IN LOVE with how it turned out!!
Later we added some shelves right above the toilet, just small open ones so it didn’t end up making the space feel small like the cabinets did!
I found a lot of these decor pieces at antique shops or thrift stores. The pitcher is from Hobby Lobby (here’s something similar). I made the bathroom people sign with my scroll saw, the “painting” in the antique frame, and of course I have a small oil stash on display!
I love how the whole space came together, exactly how I pictured it in my head!
What do you think? Is Farmhouse style something you like? I’m always curious what other people’s decorating style is!
Great content! Keep up the good work!
