Y’all know my love for all things nontoxic by now. When I started switching my toxic home products to nontoxic I couldn’t find a dish soap I liked. Most of the all natural soaps I tried from the grocery store weren’t actually all natural and nontoxic, and they weren’t that great at cleaning – which is literally their only job!

I searched pinterest for nontoxic DIY options, and still didn’t love any of them. So I made up my own! I tried a few variations, added ingredients, took away ingredients, until I found a mixture that works INCREDIBLY well! And it’s only 3 ingredients (one of them being water)!

Here’s what I use:
– Quinn’s Castile Soap Unscented (I used Quinn’s because it was cheaper at the time, Dr. Bronners is good too).
– doTERRA OnGuard Cleaner Concentrate
– Water

*Optional – Lemon Essential oil for extra grease cutting power or Essential oil of your choice for scent.
You will also need a 16oz soap dispenser.

First I fill the bottle about 3/4 full of Castile soap (I don’t really measure the Castile soap, if you’re using the same bottles as me I just fill it to right before the bottle curves up to the neck).

Second, I add THE BEST nontoxic cleaner! I usually use 2-3 Tablespoons.

Third, top it all off with filtered water.

It’s that easy!

I like to add Lemon Essential oil, this is a fourth and optional ingredient. I do highly recommend using it in the recipe. I add about 15 drops.

I’d love to hear if you’ve tried this and how it worked for you! leave me a comment!
